Login is not required to use or browse this website. Information is separated in categories in the top navigation, and additional support links are located at the bottom of the page.

If you have a specific keyword in mind, a search bar is located at the bottom of each page for quick searches (non-functional in prototype).

Q: What is Therachoice?

TheraChoice is an educational website designed to help individuals understand different cancer therapy choices. The Breast cancer portal of Therachoice contains information about Breast cancer, survival, therapy choices, risk factors, and a guide to help patients talk to their doctors about personal needs and values.

Q: Why should I use this website?

All individuals should feel informed and comfortable when making medical decisions about therapies. It is important to understand the benefits, risks, and side effects of each therapy, and how they may impact your quality of life, life style, and survival.

Q: Will Therachoice tell me which treatment option to pick?

Therachoice does not offer treatment recommendations, however, Therachoice may bring your attention to treatment and side effects that are most relevant to your personal needs and values.

Q: What happens to the information that I input on this website?

The information that you input on the website is only used to provide content that is more relevant to a particular cancer case. The information will not be disclosed to any third parties.

Q: How do I make an account?

To create an account, please click the following link. There is no charge or obligation to create an account. Creating an account allows you to save your treatment tree and topics that you would like to discuss with your doctor.

Our numerical data is from the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database. The general cancer content is adapted from the National Cancer Institute’s Comprehensive Cancer Information, while the standards of care are derived from the National Comprehensive Cancer (NCCN) clinical practice guidelines.

Q: What are the minimum requirements to use this website?

This website has been tested in IEx, FFx, Safarix, Google Chrome. Javascript should be enabled to take advantage of the interactive portions. Minimum screen resolution 1024 x 768 pixels.
